St David's Day

Writer: Rev Annabelle ElletsonRev Annabelle Elletson

Although he lived roughly fifteen hundred years ago, St David would seem, more than ever this year, to be a saint for our times. As we limp towards the breakthrough in the pandemic, we move from one small treat to the next very minor excitement. We tend, as he instructed, to the little things, and as we haul ourselves along from each little thing to the next, like pulling ourselves up a rope hand over hand, we are making our way forward. Small happenings, like being spontaneously given a welshcake, can transform a day.

Happy St David's Day, everyone.

God bless
